Blue Dahlia by Nora Roberts is the first book in the In the Garden trilogy about three women who meet at a crossroads in their lives. They form a friendship and bond that helps them to find new ways to grow and the courage to take chances.
It centers around the nursery, In the Garden, and is filled with beautiful descriptions of flowers, landscaping, and even has some cultivation thrown in. The underlying mystery of this book, as Nora Roberts always has a mystery, is the ghost that haunts the Harper mansion.
