Not your typical romantic suspense novel. Black Hills is a story that will intrigue any animal lover too. The story revolves around Lil, who runs a wildlife refuge and Cooper, who was the love of Lil's life. Circumstances separated them for twelve years. Now, back together again....they have to rediscover their love, learn to trust again, and keep Lil safe from the terror that is stalking her.

I loved this story due to the backdrop of the wildlife refuge. Not only is this a romance filled with suspense, but we learn a lot about the big cats and what it takes to protect them. I love the cougar and enjoyed their story as much as I did Lil's and Cooper's.
